What to Know About Threads Being Linked to Your Instagram Account -
Threads, the new app designed by Instagram with the intention to avoid news and politics, has rapidly become popular after its release on Wednesday, July 5th. However, Threads has already gotten into some trouble as users did not know when downloading the app that if you want to delete your Threads account, it will also delete the Instagram account that it is linked to. The Meta Privacy Policy for Threads explains that, “You may deactivate your Threads profile at any time, but your Threads profile can only be deleted by deleting your Instagram account.”. Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, has put out a statement saying that they are “working on tons of basics that are missing” on the app, so hopefully finding a way to delete Threads accounts separately is in the near future.
